Serving the running community since 2006

July/August Race Directors Newsletter

Yesterday, at the Lenexa Freedom Run, I dropped about 1500 SeeKCrun cards in the "bull pen" finish area. Imediately, three runners, although exhausted from their 10K, knelt to gather the cards and put them into my pouch. I thanked them and one of them offered "nothing compared to what you do for us"

This sort of thing keeps occurring and I am puzzled, because what SeeKCrun does is for entertainment and repayment of an old debt to the running community. I will have to say it is very humbling, yet boosting to experience all of this. I hope I handle it the best way.

The Historic Runner's Voice Survey is coming along. It appears that Photographs, Shirts and Free Food are in a tight popularity race. Check it out at Survey

Heroes will shine in the next few weeks at the Shawnee Mission Triathlon and the Psycho Psummer 50 Mile at Wyandotte County An ultramarathon in the woods is certainly worthy of recognition. And any triathlon earns my respect!! This July there are two triathons ...one for adults and one for youngsters. SeeKCrun will cover all of these .

SeeKCrun has a purpose. After its lifetime has finished, my intention is to leave Kansas City a better place to compete, and to enjoy the running events every weekend.

SeeKCrun exists only because of the your good will. There is not a profit motive. So, as someone once said "Approach pleasure and avoid pain" will be my guide as SeeKCrun grows. I have mostly enjoyed the project. Be well, Dick Ross www.seeKCrun.com
